Sharon Kay Martin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sharon Kay Martin, of Parker Colorado, passed away on 6/30/2022 at her home surrounded by family and close friends after a courageous battle with Cancer. Sharon was born on 12/27/1962 to Orlo and Dorothy Einertson in Denver, Colorado. Sharon grew up in Castle Rock, Colorado where she made several lifelong friends, she was a 1981 graduate from Douglas County High School. After graduation Sharon began her forty-year career as a hair stylist. Many of Sharon’s clients have been with her for most of those 40 years. Her clients looked forward to sitting in her chair where they would catch up on life whether the conversation was deep and philosophical or fun and full of laughter. Sharon married Shawn Martin, October 7, 1989, and later they welcomed their daughter Mia Marie and have lived in Parker, Colorado for many years. Sharon, being the fighter she was, won her fight with Breast Cancer for the second time early 2022, hearing she was cancer free in February. Sharon was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (Blood Cancer) earlier this year and began treatment in April preparing for a bone marrow transplant in July. Sharon continued to fight this ugly disease with everything she had, the treatments were too much for her body weakening her heart. Sharon cherished her family and loved to spend time with them, especially her grandchildren. The noise of them running in and out of the house playing and laughing brought her so much joy and comfort especially in her final months. Sharon loved their family vacations to Florida whether they were at the beach, sitting by the pool, shopping; it didn’t matter to Sharon it was about them all being together. In the day of everyone wanting to live the smalltown dream, Sharon did. Her life started and ended in 1 county; life-long friends were normal for Sharon. As we spent the last days with her, we revisited so many memories, the memories included many of you that we grew up with. We laughed until we cried and cried until we laughed. Sharon had an irresistible charm and a way of making you feel the love she had for you. Her laugh was infectious and her sense of never ending, she was a kind, caring, sweet and loving person. Beautiful inside and out and will be missed by many. Sharon is survived by her husband Shawn Martin, daughter Mia Marie Pacheco and her husband Brent, 3 grandchildren, several sisters and brother in laws, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was predeceased in death by her parents Dorothy and Orlo Einertson, and brother Charles (Chuck) Einertson. Her life will forever be cherished in the memories she has left in the hearts of her family, life-long friends, and clients. Services will be held at Ave Maria Catholic Church, 9056 E Parker Road, Parker, Colorado on 7/16/2022 at 10:30 AM, followed by a luncheon. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Wheat Ridge Colorado 7/16/2022 at 2:30
