John Frederick Brown Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

John F. Brown, 70, of Thornton, CO, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022. No services are scheduled at this time. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. John was born January 10, 1952, in Corning, NY to James and Edna L. (Davies) Brown. After graduating from Horsehead High School in 1970, he attended Syracuse University. John left New York for Colorado with some friends in 1977. They settled in Denver where he worked for NAPA Auto Parts. In 1980, John began a 33 year career with AT&T Communications, retiring in 2013. He loved hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. John especially enjoyed playing softball with his friends. John was devoted to his friends and family and enjoyed watching sports and spent many hours involved in sport leagues with them. He was a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan but avidly followed Denver sport teams particularly the Avalanche and the Rockies. John had a deep love of animals and never met a dog he couldn’t befriend. John is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Robert, Donald, Jimmie and Gerry; sisters: Marlene, Marge, and his twin sister Joan. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda Brown of the home; daughter: Amy Moore of North Carolina; grandson: Dylan Moore of Denver and Godson: Jared “Jam” Maio also of Denver: lifelong friends: Art, Mary, Steve, and Rich Maio and Mack McIntyre as well as many numerous nieces and nephews and many other friends.
