Jerry Olin
January 31, 1939 - November 4, 2021
Jerry Olin passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021, surrounded by family. He was born to Frieda and William Olin on January 31, 1939 in Denver, Colorado. He was married to his loving wife for 63 years. Jerry was an accomplished craftsman and woodworker – there literally wasn’t anything he couldn’t build, fix, or create. He loved tinkering in his workshop and working with his hands. An avid and accomplished marksman; he loved shooting and was often found at the shooting range. He enjoyed sharing his passion with others and teaching people how to shoot. Jerry loved the outdoors and the Colorado mountains; through the years, he frequented many mountain lakes and streams in pursuit of the perfect catch. He was a man of few words but an intense and fierce love. He loved his family and friends to no end and would do anything for any of us; anytime, day or night, if you needed something, he was there. The joke was often made that Jerry never met a stranger. In addition to his wife, Margie, Jerry is survived by his oldest son John (Kerry), son Wayne, daughter Laura and daughter Jill (Steve). Proud Grandpa to Danielle (Logan), Joshua (Samantha), Wyatt, Austin, Logan, Ariel, Avery and Rowan Proud Great-Grandpa to Teagan, Reese and Sawyer Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 20 at 1pm at the Amazing Grace Community Church – 541 E 99th Place, Thornton, CO 80229. The family would love for you to bring and share any stories or memories of Jerry.
